On Saturday, my friends, family, and I celebrated my Bachelorette Party. It was perfect.
My sister and Maid of Honor, Kerry, had planned the whole thing as a surprise for me. I didn’t even know where we were headed (answer: Long Room, a new-to-me, beer-loving bar I shall visit again in the near future).
My mother and sister had brought in Mexican food (my favorite). Dessert came from Deerfield’s, a bakery back in my hometown. We ate, drank, and played games my sister thought up and organized for everyone (including a me-specific version of Apples to Apples with nouns like “blogging”, “sharks”, and “tax season”. My sister is the best).
Long Room has a photo booth, so we were able to capture these:

Speaking of photos, one of my favorite parts of the party was something Kerry had planned in advance. Everyone brought their favorite picture of me. Kerry had cut hearts out of construction paper so people could write why they’d chosen that picture and attach it to the back of the picture. I had such a great time looking through pictures of the last day of high school, dancing at a friend’s wedding, pumpkin carving, and trips to Colorado, Cape Cod, and the Czech Republic. The messages on the back were so sweet.
I had people fly in from Boston and Baltimore to help me celebrate. I’m seriously so lucky.
