Hi, I’m Helena Swyter. That’s “ha-LAY-na SWEET-er.” It’s OK if you thought it was “ha-LEE-na sw-EYE-ter.”

But it’s not.

By day, I’m the brains behind SweeterCPA, the company I started in April 2012. I’m a Certified Public Accountant working to demystify the Internal Revenue Code for creative entrepreneurs. Interested? Give me a ring.

Will and Helena

This is Will. He’s my best friend. In October 2012, he became my husband as well.

Here’s a picture of us walking on some train tracks, as you do. I’ll post wedding pictures shortly so you can see us in other once-in-a-lifetime type situations.

 

We live in Chicago. It’s awesome.

We share our home with two cats. Their names are Odie and Nibbler. Odie’s not a fan of thunderstorms. Nibbler’s not a fan of Odie.

I like to talk. I’m a story-teller by nature.

In Junior High, I was compared to Charlene from Designing Women. That’s still one of my favorite compliments – whether or not it was intended to be.

So, why is this blog called “Bye Bye, Bitters?” Because I’m bad at naming things. Future Children, you’ve been warned.

    OMG! I felt like I was reading my life story in your about page. I, too, am getting married in October and currently live with my fiance and two cats.     Hello! Just stumbled upon your lovely blog and noticed that we have the same name :)
    Though my parents pronounce it huh-LEE-nah… People around me always pronounce it wrong, hehehe.
