My Word for 2013: Forward
After summing up 2012 with one word (albeit retroactively), I want to choose a word for the new year – on New Year’s Day, no less, so I have the full year to proactively think, work, and meditate on it.
My word for 2013 is:
(While I was writing this, Will mentioned to me that Obama already chose this word for his 2012 campaign. Well. Whatever. I’m still using it.)
In 2013, I will be focusing on moving forward with SweeterCPA. (I will also pay it forward with my company as I choose which charitable endeavors to pursue.)
I will set my focus forward on certain personal issues that are nagging me – forward rather than backward.
I look forward to a big trip with Will around May. (We still need to take a honeymoon!)
Things are always changing, life is always moving – in 2013, I will work to make sure the movement is purposefully forward.

Sounds like a good word/theme.
My entwined 2013 goals are to know my own mind better and work on getting what I really want. Action instead of just complaining. I tend to dither about. I’m certainly not unhappy — 2012 was a pretty good year, all in all — but I don’t feel like I’m quite living up to my own potential.
Awesome – it’s always good to challenge yourself!
