Flower Girls in Grey
My two younger cousins will be my flower girls, and their dresses have officially been selected.
The sashes are “mosaic” blue, just like the bridesmaids dresses. The dresses themselves are “quarry” grey – the exact color I wore to a friend’s wedding when I discovered this whole love-of-dupioni-silk thing I have going. Grey is a favorite color of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs., so we are excited to incorporate it with the younger girls.
I know it’s somewhat traditional (or more common, at least) to put the flower girls in white, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to incorporate another color into the wedding party.
The dress may be hemmed to knee-length – stay tuned!

Simply gorgeous! I may be a little biased, but I think the girls will look so pretty. We have a wedding to go to (Drew’s birthday friend we combined parties for many years, as they have been friends since they were 3). Her mom is getting remarried and Drew wanted to wear her “new dress!”.
I’m so glad to hear she likes it!
The aqua/blue ribbon really sets it off … it’s a lovely combination.
We didn’t have flower girl(s), but I probably would’ve put them in silver or red if I did…
Little girls in red would have been so cute with your dress!
Sarah, I am so glad you like the dresses! I am so excited to see the girls in them! It is also very nice that the girls get to re-wear them. I think Helena went with an excellent color combination.
Hi Kerry! I hope all is well!! we will be so excited to see you and share in this very special day! I LOVE the color (secretly hoping for a sash…love that look) and now have to see if I can coordinate the beautiful “grey” into my wedding day attire as well. The bridesmaids dresses are lovely! I am definately a fan of the shorter dress! Lots of love from the Cooley girls!
