Lamp Love: Pier1 Imports

For Christmas, I got a Pier1 Imports gift card from “Santa.” At first, I thought Santa knew something I didn’t, as I could have sworn Pier1 was no longer a going concern. However, I was wrong. Way wrong.

Will and I are in the market for a new lamp. It will grace the top of the bookcase on the south side of our living room. Currently, there is no outlet in this location, but I plan to run one through from the other side of the wall. Big plans, y’all.

After nosing through the Pier1 site for a bit, I found many contenders for this space. They have an amazing lamp selection! I kept calling Will over to look at new finds (and he willingly obliged despite being knee-deep in his own Christmas present – Skyrim).

Here are my favorites.

Trendy:

Trendy Lamps

{1. Teal Honeycomb, 2. Gold Leaf Glass, 3. Sea Foam Ceramic}

Classic:

{4. Frizz Glass Lamp, 5. Classic Blue Task Lamp, 6. Mother of Pearl Lamp}

Traditional:

{7. Red Floral Jar Lamp, 8. Grande Luxe Glass Lamp}

I’m still not sure which lamp will win a trip home with me, but I will update you all when the purchase is made!

UPDATE! Today I went to Pier 1 and got #3. We just set it up in the living room and I’m already in love!

    My husband and I just redecorated our guest room to make it ready for the foster kid we’re now certified for. I found a wooden urn lamp at Goodwill, and spray-painted it with metallic silver paint. It looks a lot like the Grande Luxe Glass Lamp, but if it gets knocked over (and in a kid’s room, I have to assume it will), it shouldn’t break. I love all of your choices!

      I love that idea! Goodwill is fantastic – I love saving money and being “green” about reusing things. Congrats on getting certified to be a foster parent – that’s huge! Hats off to you!

    Haha, now I’m thinking about Anchorman…

    Those are all pretty darn cool. Although I confess to a certain affinity for 1, 3 and 4.

    #4 and #6 are my favorites. I love glass lamps. My parents are holding onto one of their old glass lamps for us when we have an actual living room. We also have neat glass ones in our bedroom on our bedside tables.
